When director Nikkhil Advani accidentally referred to Salman Khan as Shah Rukh
New Delhi: From Chandni Chowk To China to Patiala House, Nikkhil Advani has blessed Indian cinema with some of its most memorable gems. The 53-year-old filmmaker made his directorial debut with Kal Ho Naa Ho, released in 2003. However, the renowned director later had a falling out with producer Karan Johar, leading to the duo parting ways for a brief while.
In a recent episode of Aapka Apna Zakir, Nikkhil stunned viewers by revealing that he once accidentally referred to Salman Khan as Shah Rukh Khan. The unexpected incident took place on the sets of the 2007 movie Salaam-E-Ishq.
According to a Pinkvilla report, on the first day of filming, while Nikkhil was sitting near the monitor, he said, “Shah Rukh, ready?” The entire set fell silent. Displaying his humorous side, Salman looked at Nikkhil and replied, “Yes, Karan, I am ready.”
Nikkhil appeared on Zakir Khan’s newly launched television show to promote his latest film Vedaa. His candid revelation is garnering immense applause from netizens.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Vedaa has collected Rs 21.4 crore worldwide. The action drama also features Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. It was released in theatres on Thursday (August 15, 2024).
Vedaa opened to mixed-to-positive reviews from critics. The storyline revolves around a Dalit girl who is abused by the upper caste and how she takes a stand against a repressive system. It clashed at the Box Office with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar starrer Khel Khel Mein and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2.
