Politics is not stopping on Ayodhya gang rape case, BJP strongly attacks Akhilesh and Rahul
New Delhi: The politics over the Ayodhya gangrape is not stopping. The BJP has once again attacked the SP and the Congress over this. The BJP spokesperson, while addressing a press conference on Tuesday, indirectly taunted Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi over the political connections of the Ayodhya gangrape accused. He said that ever since the political power of the 'two boys' has increased, the morale of criminals in Uttar Pradesh has increased.
He said that while the SP is 'protecting' the criminals, the members of the opposition alliance 'India' are also helping each other in protecting the criminal elements of their allies. Trivedi said, “People associated with two boys have been committing crimes. The audacity of the criminals is increasing since the power of these two boys has increased.” It is known that after the alliance between Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for the 2017 assembly elections in the state, the duo became famous as 'UP ke do ladke'. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the SP and Congress alliance in Uttar Pradesh performed better than the BJP-led NDA.

Taking a jibe at the SP's demand for DNA testing to prove the guilt of the accused in a case, he said standing with criminals is in the “DNA” of Yadav's party. To take a dig at the regional party, the Rajya Sabha member quoted lines from a poem written by popular poet and ghazal writer Adam Gondvi on criminalisation of politics, “Kaju Bhune Plate Mein” and said this pain is enough to tell the “real political DNA” of today's Samajwadi Party.
Referring to the 2014 statement
Without naming Akhilesh Yadav's father and SP founder late Mulayam Singh Yadav, Trivedi accused the party of supporting criminals, citing his 2014 statement “boys make mistakes”. The BJP leader also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her stance that she would hand over the case of rape and murder of a woman doctor at a Kolkata government hospital to the CBI if the local police did not solve the case by Sunday.

Demanding immediate transfer of the case to the CBI, Trivedi questioned whether so much time was being given so that the case could be manipulated. Questioning the 'silence' of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on these crimes, he said that the constituent parties of the opposition alliance 'India' are working to cover up such criminal cases.
A jibe at Rahul Gandhi
Responding to a question, Trivedi referred to the alleged gains from the rise in the price of shares bought by Rahul Gandhi and said that his 'Mohabbat Ka Dukan' is making good profits even though he is making a lot of noise. Naming SBI, HAL and LIC companies, Trivedi said that Congress has often targeted major companies related to the Indian economy. Citing Union Carbide, Bofors and Agusta Westland etc, he alleged that Congress has often stood with foreign companies.
