New Ford Bronco Sport Teased: Reveal On August 26

The Ford Bronco Sport has become one very popular mid-size SUV. The market is all for SUVs right now and Ford hit the mark with the Bronco and the Bronco Sport offering people very capable vehicles in two different forms of SUV. The new teaser showcases a very very muddy Bronco with the caption – “Sounds like something big is coming to Bronco Sport.”.
While there is no clear indication from the teaser hinting towards the changes, reports suggest that the Bronco Sport could potentially be offered with a new Sasquatch package. We can also expect the facelift of the Bronco Sport as the Maverick, which is based on the same platform recently got an update with the latest tech and a new face which could potentially be added to the Bronco as well.
The Sport is the smaller of the Broncos and is based on a monocoque chassis which is the same as what is underneath the Ford Escape. But big boxy SUVs which offer off-road capabilities have become all the rage now and Ford really did bank on that fact and carried the Sport to its ultimate success.
We expect the new Sasquatch package, to give the Bronco Sport a little bit of lift, more off-road focused tyres which are also a litter larger, rear tow hooks and more aggressive design elements. The Bronco Sport has been a capable SUV in terms of the mechanicals but these additions will make it more capable.
The Bronco Sport is currently offered with either a 1.5L three-cylinder Ecoboost engine or a 2.0L four-cylinder Ecobosst engine. The AWD system in the Bronco Sport is handled by the G.O.A.T modes or “Go Over Any Terrain” Modes in Ford’s language. There is twin pack clutch on the rear differential which can act as a locking differential in the Badlands model but the other versions have to rely on the traction control system.
