FASTAKE: Motorists should be careful, fines will be imposed if there is no FASTAKE on the windshield.
FASTag: If you have a car, you must have come to a toll booth while driving on the highway. You may have paid toll at these toll plazas but now NHAI has come up with new rules. Failure to wear a FASTag on your vehicle's windshield while passing through toll plazas will result in heavy fines. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken strict measures to prevent people from deliberately using Fastag. Those without FASTAC will now have to pay double the regular customs duty. The move aims to increase adherence to the FASTag system and increase the efficiency of toll collection processes on highways across the country. In this case, the fine will be doubled if you continue to violate FASTAC rules while driving on the highway. The NHAI has issued rules imposing heavy fines on vehicles that do not follow the rules. Vehicles without a Fastac sticker on the windshield and entering the toll booth will have to pay double the toll. NHAI found that some people deliberately do not install FASTAC, causing unnecessary delays at toll booths and causing inconvenience to other drivers.
