The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken strict measures to prevent people from deliberately using Fastag. Those without FASTAC will now have to pay double the regular customs duty. The move aims to increase adherence to the FASTag system and increase the efficiency of toll collection processes on highways across the country. In this case, the fine will be doubled if you continue to violate FASTAC rules while driving on the highway. The NHAI has issued rules imposing heavy fines on vehicles that do not follow the rules.
