New Delhi. The Monsoon Session of Parliament is now in its final stage. Meanwhile, the opposition is now in a do-or-die mood against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. The opposition is preparing to bring a no-confidence motion under Article 67 in Rajya Sabha to remove Dhankhar from his post. The proceedings of Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till 3.30 pm.

During the monsoon session of Parliament, tension was once again seen between Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and opposition leaders. Today, Upper House member Jaya Bachchan and the Vice President came face to face. Jaya Bachchan said, “I, Jaya Amitabh Bachchan, want to say that I am an artist. I understand body language and facial expressions. Sir! Sorry, your tone is not acceptable. Even though you are sitting on the chair, we are your companions.”
On this, Chairman Dhankhar said in a strict tone, “Jaya ji, please sit in your seat. You have made a reputation for yourself. You know that an actor works according to the director. You have not seen the things that I have seen sitting here on this seat. Are you talking about my tone? Enough is enough. You may be a celebrity, but you have to take care of the dignity of the House here.”

After this, Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan later while talking to the media said that who is he to scold, I cannot give this freedom to anyone else. I was treated disrespectfully. The tone there is bad, how much should we tolerate? People in power say anything, if we say something on that, we are told to come to the chamber and talk. Why should we go to the chamber? There should be a discussion on the floor only. Jaya Bachchan said that they are using words like brainless. They say that you may be a celebrity, we do not care. Don't worry, I am not a celebrity, I am here as a Rajya Sabha member. Now whatever our opposition leaders say, we will do the same.

I mean using unparliamentary words every time, which I do not want to say in front of you all. I am saying that I am a member of Parliament. This is my fifth term. I know what I am saying. The way things are being said in Parliament these days, no one has ever spoken like that before. I apologize.
