Bangladesh Crisis: Indian visa centers closed in Bangladesh, decision taken in view of the latest situation

Bangladesh Crisis : India has become alert in view of the chaotic situation arising after the coup in Bangladesh. Amid the violence, a new interim government is going to be formed in Bangladesh today i.e. on 08 August under the leadership of Mohammad Yunus. The government has closed all Indian visa application centers in violence-hit Bangladesh indefinitely. The central government has taken this decision in view of the latest situation in Bangladesh.

The report said that the applicants were informed that the next date would be communicated to them through SMS and their passports would be collected on the next working day.
According to the report, the notice said, “Due to the unstable situation all India Visa Application Centres will remain closed till further notice. The next application date will be informed through SMS and passports are requested to be collected on the next working day.”
Student protests in Bangladesh began with the demand to remove the quota. Over the past few months, it turned into anti-government protests. All this reached a peak last Sunday (August 4), when former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from her post and fled to India.
