Koda MP Nishikant Dubey raised a question in the Lok Sabha that the central government should be pressured to give 27 percent reservation to OBCs in Jharkhand.
Ranchi: Bharatiya Janata Party MP Nishikant Dubey has questioned the provision of 27 percent reservation for OBCs in Jharkhand state. He urged the central government to pressurize the state government to provide 27 percent reservation for the backward classes. He said this during the zero hour of the Lok Sabha. Koda MP Nishikant Dubey told Parliament that the Center should pressure the JMM-Congress coalition government to give 27 percent reservation to OBCs in Jharkhand. During the zero hour of the Lok Sabha, he said that in various states of the country, OBCs are given 27 per cent reservation, while in Jharkhand only 14 per cent reservation is given to this category. He said both the Congress and the opposition have been demanding caste-wise enumeration, but injustice has been done to the backward classes for years. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the first backward Prime Minister of the country,” said Nishikant Dubey, adding that there has been encroachment on OBC reservation in Jharkhand. He said that some castes in Jharkhand were being transferred from Scheduled Caste to OBC list and these castes were suffering and there was encroachment on OBC reservation. “Therefore, when there is 27 per cent reservation in all states, the central government has been requested to give 27 per cent reservation to OBCs in the state by putting pressure on Congress and JMM. I had told Chidambaram, you should not go to jail', BJP MP Nishikant Dubey told PMLA in Lok Sabha, “Put pressure on central government to give 27 per cent reservation to OBCs in Jharkhand”, Koda MP Nishikant Dubey.
