Car News Desk – Tata Motors is going to launch the all-new Curve electric SUV in India today i.e. on 7 August 2024. The customers of the country have been waiting for this EV for a long time, which is finally going to end. A lot of information has been revealed about the Tata Curve EV through teasers and testing models. So far, information like ground clearance of the car, four-spoke steering wheel, fully digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen system, artificial carbon fiber finish on the dashboard and red ambient lighting has been revealed. It is being speculated that along with the EV, a model with ICE engine will also be launched.
Know everything before the launchEven before the launch of Tata Curve, information about almost all its features, engine, electric powertrain, range and gearbox has been revealed. This includes R18 alloy wheels, Type C charging port on the rear seats, 6-way adjustable seats for driver and co-driver, 500 liters of boot space. Recently it has been learned that Tata Curve has got a 5-star safety rating in India NCAP. For safety, this SUV has features like disc brakes on all four wheels, auto hold with EPB, driver drowsiness warning with EPS. Many features will be available Apart from Curve EV, many EVs also have tweeters on A-pillar, auto dimming IRVM, ADAS button, illuminated logo on steering wheel, touch control AC function, engine start stop and chrome door handles.
With the SUV, you will get paddle shifters, steering taken from Tata Harrier, dashboard like Nexon, panoramic sunroof, level 2 ADAS, 2 position rear seat recliner, welcome light with flush door handle, natural light control with voice assisted sunroof and many other interesting features. On the lines of Nexon EV, Curve EC can also be offered in two variants – MR and LR i.e. medium range and long range.
Electric and ICE powertrains
The new Tata Curve electric SUV can get a 40.5 kWh battery pack. The medium range model gives a range of about 460 km on a single charge, while the long range can be driven for 500 to 550 km on a full charge. The new Tata Curve SUV is going to get 3 engine options, which include a new 1.5-liter Creel diesel, 1.2-liter petrol and 1.2-liter L GDI petrol engine.
