States like West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram share their borders with Bangladesh. After the current situation in Bangladesh, these areas have become more sensitive. India's border with Bangladesh stretches for 318 kilometers in three districts of Mizoram: Langdalai, Mamit and Lungle. He expressed apprehension that the neighboring country could once again become a hub of militancy and people from there could enter the region (north-east) illegally. This state is located about 200 kilometers from the coast of Bangladesh. People from Bangladesh entered Odisha (illegally) in small boats. Additional Director of Police (Law and Order) Sanjay Kumar said that according to reports received from various media, during the unrest in Bangladesh, several criminals were released from jail. He said the priority was to stop such people from entering India. We have put our 18 maritime police stations on high alert, the official said. The ADG has opened the Coast Guard Control Room and deployed all personnel, boats and other equipment at strategic locations of the government.
