Bangladesh crisis: Protests continue in Bangladesh, bodies of 20 Awami League leaders found

Bangladesh crisis : Bangladesh is burning in the fire of violence after the coup. Incidents of arson, vandalism and mob violence are continuing across the country by miscreants. There have been reports of large-scale vandalism and looting of houses and business establishments of Awami League leaders and workers in the country. According to reports, the house of former councilor Mohammad Shah Alam was set on fire by the mob in Comilla city, 100 km from the capital Dhaka.

Parts of the Awami League head office in Dhaka were set on fire on Tuesday. More than 100 people have died in incidents of violence across the country amid chaos after Sheikh Hasina resigned as Bangladesh Prime Minister on Monday and fled the country. According to reports, across Bangladesh, Awami League leaders and minorities such as Hindus have become the main targets of the predominantly Muslim mob. 10 people have died in the violence in Satkhira, Bangladesh. 11 people have died in Cumilla while six people died when rioters set a three-storey house of former Bangladesh Councillor Mohammad Shah Alam on fire.
According to reports, Salim Khan, a Bangladeshi filmmaker associated with India's Bengali film industry, was beaten to death by a mob in Bangladesh on Monday. He was beaten along with his actor son Shanto Khan by a mob in Chandpur, Bangladesh. Both succumbed to their injuries.
In Bangladesh, fundamentalist forces attacked the 140-year-old house of famous Bangladeshi singer Rahul Anand in Dhaka's Dhanmondi. The miscreants set fire to the house of Hindu singer Rahul, in which more than 3 thousand musical instruments were burnt to ashes. Before setting the house on fire, the goods in his house were looted.
Meanwhile, New Delhi is planning to host the neighbouring country's ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Hasina arrived in India on Monday after fleeing Dhaka and is likely to stay here for “some time” as her plan to travel to the UK faces a “technical hurdle”.
