Internship: After finishing college, many young people look for a good job or internship opportunity. Getting an internship in a reputed organization is very important for a student's career. Recognizing the importance of internships, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently unveiled an initiative to provide internships to 1 crore youth in the comprehensive Budget 2024. The initiative, unveiled during the budget presentation on July 23, aims to provide internships to youth in 500 leading companies. 1.48 lakh crore rupees have been allocated for this. These individuals will receive internships This government-sponsored internship program is available only to individuals who have completed full-time academic studies. The objective of the selection process will be to match the candidates with suitable organizations and placement will be offered based on merit. Graduates from reputed institutes like IIT, IIM and IISER, CA and CMA certified individuals or family members holding government posts are not eligible for this scheme. Only people between 21 years to 24 years can apply for this scheme. The companies will bear the expenses of the internship, of which 10 percent will come from their CSR fund. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has taken some big steps for the young generation in this year's budget. In this, e-vouchers for loan assistance up to Rs.10 lakh will be provided to 1 lakh students per year. Also, 3% interest subsidy will be provided.
