Bihar News: Saran District Mines Department is in full swing against illegal mining. Action is being taken against the businessmen who deal in black sand every day. In this regard, the department has taken action in the last 48 hours and collected a fine of Rs.13.30 lakh. Also, an FIR has been registered against five businessmen. Likewise, the number of FIRs registered by the department rose to 331 within four months of this financial year. Action in these police station areas: Within 48 hours, the mining department has arrested five industrialists in five police stations in the district namely Tikwara, Beldi, Doriganj, Sonpur and Khatka. The mining department officials, with the help of local police, have taken action against two traders in Tikwara police station area and two persons in Beldi police station area. 1205 cubic feet of sand and 5 vehicles were seized from them. A fine of Rs.4.30 lakh has been imposed on them. Similarly, 3 industrialists were caught in Doriganj police station area, Sonpur and Ghatka police station area and 6 vehicles carrying sand were seized from them. 300 cubic feet of sand was loaded into it. They have been fined Rs.9 lakh.
