Indian Embassy in Lebanon Issues Travel Advisory

The Indian Embassy in Lebanon released an advisory on Monday for Indian residents in the West Asian nation following Israel’s warning to the Hezbollah group, which raised concerns about potential conflict.
The travel advisory urged Indians in Lebanon or those planning to visit to stay in touch with the Embassy in Beirut.
The Embassy stated in a post on X, ” In view of the recent developments in the region, all Indian nationals in Lebanon and those planning to travel to Lebanon are advised to exercise caution and remain in contact with Embassy of India in Beirut through their email id: cons.beirut@mea.gov.in or the emergency phone number +96176860128.”

This advisory was issued in response to Israel’s declaration that Hezbollah would face consequences after a rocket assault in Golan Heights resulted in the deaths of 12 children, for which Tel Aviv holds the Lebanese group accountable.
“Hezbollah will pay the price,” stated  Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. He previously declared, “We will hit the enemy hard.”
Hezbollah has categorically rejected claims of their involvement in the attack, which was the most lethal incident in Israel or Israeli-held territory since the attacks on October 7.
On Saturday around 30 projectiles were seen coming from Lebanon into Israeli land, with Israel’s military promptly attributing the attack to the Iran-supported faction.
