Formerly located at Mallikai Gopuram, the facility is now shifted to Pataka House, 57-B, Mirza Ghalib Street, Daltala area. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held there, Ms. Pavek said that increasing visa-related facilities would give new strength to mutual cooperation and relations between the two countries. It enables Indian and American citizens to explore new avenues of progress and opportunity for new partnerships in each other's country. According to Ms. Pavek, more than 18 lakh Indians will come to the US this year. It has been informed that the Visa Application Center which has been shifted to the new location will now be able to provide many types of new facilities to the applicants. Jeffrey Miles, Visa Coordinator for the US Embassy in India, who attended the above ceremony along with Ms. Pavek, discussed the growing interest of Indian citizens in traveling to the US. In fact, he also appreciated the work of his fellow officers in reducing the waiting time for visas. He also spoke about the many achievements of the American mission in the past year. In line with this, Mr. Miles said that last year, in 2023, the US embassy and consulates in India were very efficient and issued 1.4 lakh visas.
