Sarhasa The erosion of the Koshi river is continuing at a rapid pace in dozens of villages of Mahisi and Navhatta blocks. Due to this, the problems of the villagers are increasing day by day. The villagers say that the erosion of the Koshi river is continuing at a rapid pace for the last two days on the main road going from Birjen (17) number road to Mahua Chahi in Navhatta block. If anti-erosion work is not done soon, then the main road going from road number 17 will be washed away by the Koshi river.
State General Secretary of Rashtriya Lok Morcha, Shivendra Kumar Jishnu Singh.
Regarding this problem, State General Secretary of Rashtriya Lok Morcha Shivendra Kumar Jishu has given an application to the District Magistrate to stop the erosion. According to the information, people there are trying hard to stop the erosion. Even after this, the situation is not improving. Due to the cutting of the main road, one main branch of Kosi river which flows from the west will get connected to the other main stream.
This can cause a major accident any time. Dozens of villages in Mahisi and Navhatta blocks like Birjain, Narayanpur, Rasalpur, Sattoor, Koila, Belhi, Birgaon, Nayatola, Baghwa and other villages are in danger due to river erosion and there is a huge loss of life and property. The situation is such that the houses of the people living in the village can get submerged in the Kosi river anytime.
