Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden on Monday. In this conversation, Prime Minister Modi said that both countries are supporters of regional world peace and stability. According to an official report, Frieden called Prime Minister Modi to congratulate him on his re-election as Prime Minister. Luxembourg Prime Minister Frieden discussed regional and global issues, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Prime Minister Frieden appreciated India's role in ending the conflict and quickly restoring peace and stability, the statement said. Meaningful Talks with Prime Minister Frieden In a post on X, he said he had a fruitful conversation with Frieden and reiterated his commitment to deepening India-Luxembourg ties, including trade, investment, financial services and industrial production. Being a democratic country, we support regional world peace and stability, he said. While calling India an important partner, Frieden said in a post on X that he had a meaningful conversation with Prime Minister Modi over the phone and described India as an important partner for his country. “We have expressed our commitment to further strengthen our close ties,” he said. We also discussed geopolitical issues of common interest and our goal of working towards peace and stability.
