In Japan, 14 students fell ill after eating potato chips made of India's hottest chilli (bhut jolokia), after which they were admitted to the hospital. According to local reports in Japan, these chips were extremely spicy, which were eaten by about 30 students.
According to the report, on July 16, a student brought chips made of Bhut Jolokia chilli to eat in his school in Tokyo. 30 students ate the chips. However, a warning was also given on the chips that people under the age of 18 should not eat this product. Despite this, the students ate it.

After eating the chips, many students started complaining of nausea and pain in their mouths. After receiving complaints from the students, the school administration informed the police. After this, 14 students were taken to the hospital. At the same time, the company that makes the chips, Isoyama Corp, reiterated the warning for those above 18 years of age in a statement after this incident.
