JDU demands special status for Bihar… Congress's big demand after all-party meeting
Ahead of the budget session, the central government had called an all-party meeting on Sunday. Apart from Trinamool Congress, many opposition parties participated in this meeting. After the all-party meeting, the Congress made a big demand. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said: In the all-party meeting, the JDU leader demanded special status for Bihar. At the same time, the YSRCP chief demanded special status for Andhra Pradesh. It is surprising that Telugu Desam Party leaders kept silent on this issue. In fact, in the all-party meeting, three states – Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha – demanded special status for their states. According to reports, the Congress said that the opposition parties should get the post of Deputy Speaker in this meeting. Apart from this he also raised the issue of NEET. Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav raised the issue of displaying signs on the Kanwar route. At the same time, YSRCP raised the issue of security in the state. The YSR Congress said that the TDP government was targeting their leaders in the state and therefore they should be given security. Jairam Ramesh tweeted that Bihar should be given special status in today's All Party Leaders meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. YSRCP chief demanded special status for Andhra Pradesh. Strangely, the TDP chief remained silent on the matter. — Jairam Ramesh (@Jairam_Ramesh) July 21, 2024 The budget session will be held from July 22 to August 12.
