Delhi: A state-level boxer has been arrested in the case of shooting uncle in a property dispute

The Delhi Police on Sunday arrested a state-level boxer who allegedly shot his uncle in a property dispute. Officials said the accused was arrested on Saturday and has been identified as Rajan Phare. At the same time, the police came to know that the accused Rajan was involved in four criminal cases earlier. A senior police officer said that 30-year-old Rajan Faure, a resident of Nangla Bar village in Haryana's Panipat, had a property dispute with his uncle Azad. Last month, Asad abused and humiliated Rajan's mother after which Rajan decided to take revenge. Several serious cases of attempted murder, kidnapping etc. have been registered against the accused in Haryana. The bullet that entered the car hit Azad in the waist, police said. The accused said that Azad went to his village on June 23 to take revenge on his uncle for insulting his mother. Rajan and his accomplices opened fire on Azad on June 23 when he was driving his car to his village, police said. However, Asad continued to drive the car and reached the house, eluding Rajan who was chasing him. Azad was taken to hospital by his family and treated. Haryana Police has registered a case of attempted murder and started investigation. Delhi Police's Crime Branch got a tip-off about Rajan's presence in Rohini area, after which he was arrested. He said that the investigation is going on.
