The Microsoft server outage caused panic among financial institutions worldwide, but Indian banks and payment systems remained untouched. State Bank of India SBI has issued a statement, assuring that customers' operations have not been affected by the widespread outage of Microsoft services. Similarly, the CEO of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) assured that the country's payment systems, including the unified payment interface, will function seamlessly without significant disruption. Ramesh Lakshminarayanan, Group Head, IT Department, HDFC Bank, has assured the bank's customers that India's banks are not affected by Microsoft servers and their operations will not be affected by the global crisis. He said that the systems of the bank are functioning smoothly and due to this banking operations will continue without interruption. Additionally, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank officials have confirmed that their systems are working normally and Microsoft is not affected by the crisis.
