15 Union ministers including Shah and Shivraj got place in the panel
Read Desk. New Team Of Niti Aayog: The central government announced the new team of Niti Aayog on Tuesday (July 16). Apart from four full-time members, 15 Union ministers from the BJP and NDA allies have been included as ex-officio members or special invitees.
The government has removed some old members from the Niti Aayog panel. Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Anurag Thakur, who were included in the commission last year, have not been made members of the commission this year.
Niti Aayog is the think tank of the government
The central government formed NITI Aayog in place of the Planning Commission in 2015. It is the policy think tank of the Government of India, which gives information about the plans and policies of the government. The purpose of NITI Aayog is to formulate strategies for long-term policies and programs. The Prime Minister is its chairman, along with a vice-chairman and a chief executive officer.
Economist Suman K. Bery will remain as vice president
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chairman of the commission and economist Suman K. Beri will remain the vice-chairman. Scientist VK Saraswat, agricultural economist Ramesh Chand, pediatrician VK Paul and macro-economist Arvind Virmani will be full-time members.

Apart from these, Panchayati Raj Minister Lallan Singh, Social Justice Minister Virendra Kumar, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu, Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Women and Child Welfare Minister Annapurna Devi, Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan and Minister of State with Independent Charge Rao Indrajit Singh have been included as special invitees.
