After the curfew was imposed in Hazaribagh's Bargagan, there was calm, shops were closed and people faced problems.
Sanjay Sagar, Hazaribagh: Violent clashes broke out in Hazaribagh's Bargagan Mahudi-Sonapura area on Tuesday, in which several people were injured. The clash took place between the public and the administration to determine the route of Ram Navami. A Muharram procession will be held in this area on Wednesday. To keep it peaceful, the administration imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163, after which peace prevailed in Bargagan Main Chowk, Bargagan-Hazaribagh Road, Bargagan-Tandwa Road, Bargagan-Badam Road and Dainik Bazar area. All shops and stores are closed. Only a few are seen on the streets. Only drug stores and seed shops were open in Bargagan Mahudi-Sonapura area of Hazaribagh. As shops were closed, people faced great difficulty in buying and selling. Many had to resort to home delivery to get essential items. At present there is a peaceful atmosphere in the area. Police including STPO Kuldeep Kumar, Circle Officer Baleshwar Ram, Block Development Officer Jitendra Mandal, Police Station Incharge Kuntankant Vimal are on full alert.
