New Gen Renault Duster crash tested before its arrival in India, gets 3 star rating

Renault Duster is considered to be a great car in the Indian market. The company launched this car many years ago. Renault Duster was one of the best selling cars of the company at one time. Now the third generation of this car is going to be launched in the Indian market soon. Before the launch, this car has undergone a crash test in which it has received a 3 star rating. This test has been done by Euro NCAP.
Crash test of Renault Duster
Renault Duster was sent for safety test under the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP). During this, the SUV has received a 3 star safety rating. This car has scored 70% for adult safety. It has received 84% score for child safety. Apart from this, 57% score has been given for safety assist system and 60% score for road users.

The Renault Duster model that was crash tested had a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Along with this, there was also a hybrid setup, which powers the front wheels. However, this safety rating applies to other variants of the Duster as well.

In adult safety, Duster got 28.1 points out of 40. The SUV got 11.4 points in frontal impact test, 12 in lateral impact test and 3.6 in rear impact. Apart from this, the car got 1.2 points out of 4 in rescue test.
When will it be launched in the country
Let us tell you that the company can launch the new Renault Duster in the Indian market by mid-2025. At the same time, the car model whose crash test has been done will not be launched in the country. The car to be launched in the country is being manufactured in India itself.

Duster performed well in the side impact test but proved weak in the frontal crash test. Duster protected the driver and front passenger's knees well, but the safety for the chest appeared to be average.
