Controversial trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar had got her disability certificate made on a fake address
New Delhi. Every day new revelations are being made about the controversial Maharashtra cadre trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar. Now it has come to light that Pooja had written a fake address to get a disability certificate. Pooja had used ration card as address proof to get a disability certificate from Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri Pune. The home address written in that ration card was Plot No. 53, Dehu-Alandi, Talawade. This address is not of any house but of a Thermoverta Engineering Company and this company has been shut down. Another thing that has come to light is that Pooja's Audi car which has been seized by the police is also registered in the name of this company.
Taking action in the wake of the growing controversy, the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administration Academy in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, yesterday cancelled Pooja Khedkar's training duty and issued an order to call her back to the academy immediately. Earlier yesterday, it was revealed that Pooja had appeared for the civil services examination under two different names. In the preliminary examination of the civil services given in 2019, the trainee IAS had written her name as Khedkar Pooja Dilip Rao. However, in 2022 by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC), where Pooja was selected for the IAS, the trainee IAS had registered her name as Manorama Dilip Khedkar under the PwBD-Multiple Disability (MD) category.
Pooja is accused of misusing different disability certificates and non-creamy layer OBC quota to become an IAS. The central government has formed an inquiry committee in this case. The inquiry committee will submit its report in two weeks. An FIR has been lodged against Pooja's parents for threatening farmers regarding land, after which both of them are absconding. The police is searching for them.
