India Alliance leads in assembly by-elections, ahead in 11 out of 13 seats, setback to BJP

-By-elections were held on 13 assembly seats in seven states
New Delhi. Assembly by Election Result 2024: In the by-elections held for 13 assembly seats in seven states, the constituent parties of the Congress-India Alliance have given a tough fight and the candidates of India Alliance have taken the lead in 11 out of 13 seats. While BJP has managed to take the lead in only 1 seat, currently an independent candidate is leading in one seat.

Elections were held on 13 seats including 4 from West Bengal, 3 from Himachal Pradesh, 2 from Uttarakhand and 1 each from Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab and Tamil Nadu. Trinamool Congress candidates have taken the lead on all four seats in West Bengal.

Congress (Assembly by Election Result 2024) candidates are leading on both the seats in Uttarakhand. Apart from this, Congress has won two seats in Himachal Pradesh and BJP candidate has won one seat. In Tamil Nadu, DMK is leading on one seat, while in Bihar an independent candidate is leading on one seat.

There is a close contest on some of the 13 seats where counting of votes is going on. This includes Amarwara in Madhya Pradesh, Badrinath and Mangalore seats in Uttarakhand. Also, out of the 13 by-elections, Trinamool Congress is leading on 4 seats, Congress on 5 seats, DMK, BJP, AAP and an independent are leading on one seat each.
