The CBI will not present the remains as evidence, but the prosecution said they will not present these remains as evidence. In fact, it was revealed on the same day that an email was sent to the trial court that Sheena's bones were missing and were in the possession of a forensic expert who had examined them and was testifying in court. Special CBI judge SP Naik Nimbalkar told lawyers present in the court about the email on Wednesday. Prosecutors, who read the email, said the allegations should be investigated. The forensic expert's testimony was halted last month after the bones were not found. But the CBI says that these remains cannot be given as evidence. The next hearing in the case will now be held on July 12.
