Congress's new action plan for Dalit-tribal vote bank will begin village-by-village campaigning
Buoyed by winning more seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha election results than previous elections, the Congress has devised a new strategy to increase its Dalit-tribal vote bank. In this general election, the party feels that the slogans like save the constitution and protect reservation have benefited the Congress a lot. Therefore, the party leadership has decided to take this campaign more strongly. So that the party can regain its lost support base in these communities. According to reports, after discussions with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the party's Scheduled Castes Department has prepared an action plan. Under the new strategy of Congress, efforts will be made to take this campaign to remote villages of the country. According to reports, around 4 lakh constitutional defenders have been appointed in villages so far under this campaign. In each village one woman and one man are given the responsibility. The Congress will soon set up a Constitution Protection Committee in every village. And, in the same way, a Constitutional Guardian and then a Constitutional Guardian Ward Committee will be formed in urban areas as well. Campaign against BJP-RSS The campaign plan of Indian National Congress is not limited to this. There is also a theme in this Congress strategy against the BJP-RSS, with increasing infiltration among Dalits and tribals. Under this theme, Congress will campaign against BJP-RSS policies. Congress party leaders and workers groups will organize discussions and programs on this topic. What was the strategy and theme of the Congress? That means Congress and its allies stand to save the Constitution and protect reservation. This strategy includes visiting dalit and tribal homes for meals, participating in their programs and increasing their respect. Through this campaign, the Congress will try to explain that Mayawati is under pressure from the BSP and instead of fighting the BSP, she has indirectly become Mayawati's aide.
