In Kiriti, the thieves who first stole, then ate the home-cooked fish.
Kumar Gaurav, Bagodar: Thieves broke into and stole four houses in Dibra village of Dondlo panchayat under Bagodar police station limits of Giridi in the middle of the night. Even the home-made fish meal was eaten by the thieves before leaving. When the owners of the house came to know about this, they informed the police. The incident which took place in Tibara village of Giridi has created a sense of fear among the villagers. The block leader and president urged the police to disclose the matter as soon as possible. The victims said that thousands of rupees including jewelery and utensils were stolen from their houses. He also said that the thieves take turns breaking into each other's houses. Thieves took thousands of rupees and silver items from Janaki Mahato's house. The entire family was sleeping on the terrace at the time of the incident. He also ate homemade fish curry that night. The owners of three other houses said that all the victims were elsewhere when the thieves committed the crime. Then the thieves broke the lock and stole it in the night. Here, after receiving information about the theft incident, Deputy Chief Minister Harendra Kumar Singh and Principal Tulsi Mahato visited the houses of all the victims and informed about it. Both public representatives have requested the police to control the incident. Also, the police assured that the case will be revealed soon and the culprits will be arrested.
