What is Pappu Yadav's strategy behind supporting Bhima Bharti in Rupali to woo Tejaswi or defeat Nitish?
The win or loss of Bihar's Rupali assembly by-election will have no bearing on the government, but the election remains a question of honor for RJD and JDU. To maintain its dominance, the JTU has camped in the Rupali constituency, which fell vacant due to the resignation of Bhima Bharti, an entire army of cabinet ministers including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. All India alliance is united to make Bhima Bharti win who left JTU and joined RJD. Apart from this, since Pappu Yadav had to contest as an independent candidate from Bhima Bharti, now he is actively trying to make the same party win. In such a scenario, the question arises whether Pappu Yadav wants to woo Tejashwi Yadav by supporting RJD candidate Bhima Bharti or has a plan to defeat Nitish and strengthen the Indian alliance. During the Lok Sabha elections, JDU MLA Bhima Bharti bid farewell to the party and joined the RJD to contest the Purnia parliamentary seat, but lost the election to independent Pappu Yadav. By-election is taking place in Rupali constituency where RJD has fielded Bhima Bharti as its candidate. JDU gambled on Kaladar Mandal. Apart from this, the contest has become interesting as LJP rebel Shankar Singh is contesting as an independent candidate. Bhima Bharti has been elected MLA continuously since 2010 but now she is trying her luck from RJD instead of JD(U). In such a situation, JTU wants to win this seat anyway, which has become a prestige issue for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. A gathering of NDA leaders at Rupali reached Rupali on Saturday along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary along with a dozen ministers including Ministers Sanjay Jha, Lacey Singh, Dilip Jaiswal, Renu Devi, Vijay Choudhary, Education Minister Sunil Kumar, Sheila. Goblins like Mandal were involved. During this all the ministers campaigned in favor of the JTU candidate Kaladhar Mandal and tried to create a political atmosphere. Nitish Kumar said that we have made a person who does not know how to speak many times as an MLA without taking Bhim's name. Although he became a minister twice, he left for another party due to greed. Elections should teach a lesson to such fraudsters. Samrat Chowdhury also attacked Bhima Bharati and said what will not happen to his own people, what will happen to the public. In the Rupali assembly by-election, the JTU has handed over the responsibility to big leaders at the panchayat level. JDU has formed 21 teams with its leaders. Keeping in mind the caste equation, they are stationed in different areas. From this we can understand that JTU is trying to win Kaladar mandal anyway. Rupali constituency remains a question of JD and Nitish Kumar's credibility. That's why she doesn't want to give up on any objective. RJD's Eyes on Rupali Constituency RJD also wants to win this constituency anyway and all horses are open for it. RJD has appointed three individual in-charges in all panchayats of Rupali constituency. These include former MLAs, MLAs and MLCs and former MLCs. All of them are camping in those panchayats. RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav himself has been busy helping the people of Rupali from the forefront. Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will campaign on Monday to help Bhima Bharati win. Pappu Yadav, who contested against Bhima Bharti in the Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate in the Purnia parliamentary constituency, came out in support of Bhima Bharti in the Rupali Assembly constituency by-election. Pappu Yadav has said that the Congress has announced its support to RJD candidate Bhima Bharti in the by-elections and that the Congress party is at the end. However, Pappu Yadav defeated Bhima Bharti in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, after which there was talk that Pappu Yadav might stay away from the RJD candidate in this by-election. Bhima Bharti met Pappu Yadav. After this, it was decided that Pappu Yadav could support Bhima Bharati in the by-elections. Pappu Yadav does not want Baahubali's influence in Purnia and the by-election in Rupali is held for eight-nine months. In such a situation, outsiders are not allowed to come at any cost. If any criminal from outside comes to Purnia and decides who to vote for and who not to vote, this cannot be accepted in this life. Pappu Yadav talks about the accused Navakachia and avoids using his name, but his reference is to the powerful MLA of JD(U). Pappu Yadav does not want the influence of any strongman in his region and for that he has come out in support of Bhima Bharti's victory. Pappu Yadav wants to kill many birds with one stone by supporting Bhima Bharti in Rupali Assembly constituency. Pappu Yadav joined Congress after the victory. Congress and RJD alliance in Bihar. Thus, Pappu Yadav is not going to gain any political advantage by opposing Bhima Bharati, because if he opposes, JTU's path will become easier. Pappu Yadav's future is a risk if JTU wins. In such a situation, Pappu Yadav does not want to face political loss against Bhima Bharati in the by-election in Bihar. A meeting with Bhimabharati made it clear that there was no more enmity between them. If political analysts say that Pappu does not want a political feud with the Lalu family, it will not be easy for Pappu Yadav to stay in the Indian alliance against former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. Pappu Yadav now doesn't want to take the political feud with the Lalu family any further because it has more to lose than gain. It is believed to be a strategy to strengthen ties with RJD and Tejashwi Yadav by supporting Bhima Bharati. Time to come in Bihar is Tejashwi Yadav and Pappu Yadav is an experienced leader. He knew that Tejashwi was going to make peace with Yadav. He has no political place in the JTU and thus defeating Bhima Bharti will not benefit him. After doing all these calculations, Pappu Yadav has announced his support for Bhima Bharti. Gangoda community has the largest population of voters in Rupali Assembly Constituency. JTU's Bhima Bharti and Kaladhar Mandal also hail from this community. Mandal had contested the last election as an independent but could not win. Now trying their luck again. If we look at the political equation of Rupali constituency, more than 90 per cent voters belong to most backward castes, Dalits and minority communities. Since both the RJD and JDU candidates belong to the Gangot community, their votes are sure to be split between the two candidates. In such a scenario, whoever wins the Dalit, minority and non-Gangota OBC votes is sure to win. Let's see what is the political gain of supporting Pappu Yadav's Bhima Bharati in Rupali?
