Eager to talk to friend Putin… PM Modi leaves for Russia and Austria
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Russia and Austria today. He will attend the 22nd India-Russia Summit in Russia. This summit is being held after three years. Earlier this summit was held in December 2021 when Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Delhi. Before leaving for his tour, PM Modi said that I am going on an official visit to Russia for the 22nd annual summit and my first visit to the Republic of Austria in the next three days. The Prime Minister said, 'The special strategic partnership between India and Russia has progressed in the last ten years. These include energy, security, trade, investment, health, education, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchanges. I look forward to reviewing all aspects of bilateral cooperation and sharing views on regional and global issues with my friend President Vladimir Putin. We want to play a supporting role for a peaceful and stable region. This trip will give me an opportunity to meet the vibrant Indian community in Russia. What did PM Modi say about Austria visit? Regarding his visit to Austria, Prime Minister Modi said, 'I will have the opportunity to meet President Alexander van der Bellen and President Karl Nehmer in Austria. Austria is our firm and reliable partner. We share the ideals of democracy and pluralism. This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister after 40 years. I look forward to negotiations to take our partnership to greater heights in new and emerging areas of innovation, technology and sustainable development. I look forward to exchanging views with the Austrian Chancellor on mutually beneficial trade and investment opportunities. I will also interact with the Indian community in Austria which is known for its professionalism and demeanor. PM Modi is meeting Putin for the 16th time and in fact, there is a lot of discussion going on in the global arena about PM Modi's visit to Russia. Because this is PM Modi's first visit to Moscow since the war with Ukraine started. This trip is considered very important in many ways. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also very excited about the meeting. Modi and Putin have met 16 times in the last ten years. The last meeting between the two leaders took place in Samarkand in September 2022, when both leaders reached Samarkand to attend the SCO summit. After that he will leave for the Kremlin. Putin hosts private dinner for PM Modi at Kremlin Prime Minister Modi will meet the Indian community the next day. After this we will visit the exhibition in Moscow. At the same time, bilateral talks will be held between Prime Minister Modi and Putin. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi will leave Moscow for Austria after the India-Russia summit.
