A grocery store was robbed and goods including cash worth several lakhs of rupees were stolen.
Assamnagar. Thieves broke into Masoom Reza's grocery shop in Nimal police station area on Saturday night and stole more than Rs 2 lakh in cash and groceries. The villagers found the back wall of the shop broken during their morning walk. The villagers informed the shopkeeper Masoom Reza about this. The shopkeeper came to the shop and informed the Assamnagar police. On receiving information, Asamnagar police reached the spot and conducted an investigation and said that the thieves had stolen Rs 2 lakh cash and goods from the shop. Two-wheelers are regularly stolen in the police station area. Thieves caught in many incidents were also sent to jail. But there are no signs of theft. After investigation, a primary case has been registered, police station in-charge Kundan Kumar Singh said. An investigation is underway to nab the thieves.
