Fire in Nalanda: Nalanda. After a fire broke out in a beedi factory in Nalanda district, there was commotion at the place. Property worth more than Rs.10 lakh is likely to be damaged in this fire. The fire department reached the spot after getting information and brought the fire under control. The incident took place at the SK Beedi factory located in Hyderganj Gada under Silau police station limits. No casualties were reported in the accident. A small spark in the middle of the rain caused the entire factory to burst into flames. Bystanders panicked after seeing smoke and flames. Bystanders informed the fire department. On receiving the information, the fire department rushed to the spot with 4 vehicles and brought the fire under control after fighting for several hours. But by then, goods worth several lakhs were burnt to ashes. It is fortunate that no worker was injured in the accident. All the workers had gone to eat and only two or three people were outside the factory when the accident happened. The fire department says the loss could have been avoided if there had been a fire extinguisher in the factory. The factory owner did not take any action regarding security arrangements.
