Lawyers have written to the Chief Justice against Delhi High Court's ban on granting bail to Arvind Kejriwal.

Lawyers have written to Supreme Court Chief Justice TY Chandrachut expressing concern over Delhi High Court's suspension of bail of Arvind Kejriwal. He said judges in ED and CBI cases are not finalizing bail and are giving long dates. A memorandum written by more than 150 attorneys raised concerns about alleged insider communication that asked trial court vacation judges not to issue final orders in pending cases. The memorandum was sent after vacation judge Nii Bindu granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on June 20 in a money laundering case related to the Excise policy scam. Arvind Kejriwal's bail was suspended by the Delhi High Court. The note said that some unprecedented practices were seen in the Delhi High Court and Delhi District Courts. In a letter signed by 157 lawyers, Additional Sessions Judge Bindu Arvind Kejriwal was granted bail despite the Chief Justice saying that the trial court should take a swift and bold decision to avoid getting bogged down in the High Court cases. The lawyers wrote to the chief justice, but the next day the enforcement department filed a case in the Delhi High Court against the order. What makes this challenge so irregular is that it was made before the Rouse Avenue court order was uploaded (on the website). The memorandum also bears the signature of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legal wing chief advocate Sanjiv Nasir. Referring to the High Court's hasty listing, hearing and adjournment of the trial court's bail order, the memo said, “This is unprecedented in the history of Indian judiciary and has caused deep concern in the minds of the legal profession.” Brotherhood. Lawyers expressed concern over the High Court's verdict. The Chief Justice has directed the trial courts that the alleged internal communication defeats the purpose of setting up vacation benches and that vacation judges of trial courts should not issue definitive orders. Quick decision is also violated. Due to this, many advocates in the cases listed on hiatus could not finalize their cases. We as the representatives of the legal community would like to register a very strong objection against such executive order. Earlier on July 2, lawyers associated with the Delhi Bar Association met the district judge and protested the alleged insider dealing. District courts in Delhi were closed from June 10 to June 29 due to summer vacation. During vacations, judicial officers alternately act as vacation judges.
