Delhi: The NEET-PG exam for admission to medical courses can be conducted in a month
The NEET-PG exam for admission to post-graduate medical courses can be conducted within a month, sources have revealed. According to sources, the Home Ministry officials met the officials of the anti-cyber crime body of the government on Tuesday afternoon.
NEET-PG will be monitored by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the question paper will be prepared two hours before the exam. A total of 2.38 lakh candidates will give this exam. Earlier this exam was to be held on June 23 but due to irregularities including paper leak, the exam was postponed on June 22 night. Vice President of National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) Prof. According to Minu Bajpai, the government is keeping vigilance through various agencies so that there are no loopholes. Regarding the paper leak issue, he said that the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Information Technology and Ministry of Health are observing the whole matter at a comprehensive level. The investigation is being completed. There will be no disturbance in the exam. The exam will be conducted transparently.
Out of 1,563 candidates, 813 gave the re-exam
According to NTA officials, out of 1,563 candidates, only 813 appeared for the NEET-UG re-exam. According to sources, the reason why only 48 percent of the candidates gave the re-exam could be that the rest of the candidates might have believed that the exam would be cancelled. He may not have re-examed because of fear of low marks in re-exam or intending to re-exam next year.
The counseling of NEET-UG will start from 6th July
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the result of NEET-UG 2024 re-exam. With the new result, the number of toppers in NEET-UG 2024 has reduced from 67 to 61. This year 13.16 lakh candidates have cleared this medical entrance exam. MBBS, BDS and B.Sc. The counseling will start from July 6 by the Medical Counseling Committee, the authority responsible for the allotment of nursing seats.
