Due to this, train operations on the Badaun-Chandausi route were affected for one and a half hours. The Delhi-Tanakpur Jan Shatabdi Express had to be stopped at Aonla station for an hour. Three goods trains on the branch line and Kasganj line were also stopped at different stations. Rail traffic could become normal after 1 pm.

Actually, the goods train got divided into two parts while running on the Ramganga bridge. On Thursday morning, this train left Chandausi for Bareilly Cantt station. During that time, at 11:30 am, the goods train was crossing the Ramganga bridge when the coupling opened on the bridge itself and it got divided into two parts. The guard informed the loco pilot about this on the walkie-talkie. After which the loco pilot stopped the goods train by applying emergency brakes. This was informed to the control room and Ramganga Bridge station. Then the goods team reached the spot. There was a delay in connecting the coupling due to there being no way to move from both sides on the bridge.

This train could leave from here at 12:56 pm. 05370 Lalkuan-Kasganj Passenger and 05337 Kasganj-Bareilly City Passenger going towards Badaun also had to be stopped on the way. Due to this, the passengers had to face problems.
