This year the pilgrimage to see Amarnath, the natural form of Bolenath, begins on June 29. All arrangements have been completed for the smooth completion of this 52-day Amarnath Yatra. Arrangements have been made for a langar, camp and hospital on both the routes from Point Zero to the holy cave, according to members of the Sri Amarnath Langar Seva Samiti of Srinagar and Sivashakti Seva Dal of Rajasthan, who have been working for 15 years. This year the number of travelers will be high. In such a situation, the administration has opened two of the 5 floors of the recently constructed Yatri Niwas at Bandha Chowk in Srinagar for travellers. This stopover camp has accommodation for 5000 passengers. Similarly, two DRDO hospitals with 100 beds each have been established at Baldal and Chandanwadi. The travel lane has been widened by 12 feet on both axles. Cleanliness is also taken care of in this journey. The responsibility has been given to the Directorate of Rural Health, Jammu and Kashmir. More than 10 ghats constructed: According to officials, more than 10 ghats have been constructed along the pilgrimage route. Facilities have been provided for devotees to bathe and perform puja on this path. Similarly, precautionary measures have been taken at the sensitive areas on both the mountain passes. Of this, around 14 km, strong rails are laid on both sides. 38 skilled mountain rescue teams have been engaged in the Amarnath Yatra this time. This MRT has 13 teams of Armed Police, 11 teams of SDRF, 8 teams of NDRF, 4 teams of BSF and 2 teams of CRPF. Apart from this, besides 500 CAPFs, 20,000 additional personnel have been engaged in surveillance through CCTV. At the same time, 360-degree CCTV cameras have also been installed to monitor the travel route. Security forces have installed hi-tech cameras at various locations on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. As the Amarnath Yatra has always been a target for terrorists, security forces have launched door-to-door searches in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure security during the Yatra.
