Atishi wrote a letter to the Prime Minister on Delhi Water Crisis

Atishi said that on one hand people are facing severe heat and on the other hand they are also struggling with water crisis.
Delhi Water Crisis: Delhi minister Atishi on Wednesday said she has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the water crisis in the national capital and will go on an indefinite hunger strike from June 21 if the crisis is not resolved soon.
Atishi said at a press conference here that Haryana is not providing water to the capital, due to which Delhi is facing a water crisis.
He said that yesterday Haryana released 513 MGD of water for Delhi instead of 613 MGD. One MGD of water is for 28,500 people. This means that water has not been released for more than 28 lakh people.
Atishi said that on one hand people are facing severe heat and on the other hand they are also struggling with water crisis.
She said, “I have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the water crisis and have requested him that now the suffering of the people of Delhi has crossed all limits… I have humbly requested that he (PM Modi) should provide water to the people of Delhi… If the people of Delhi do not get their rightful share of water by the 21st… then I will have to start a Satyagraha for water from the 21st. I will sit on a hunger strike from the 21st until the people of Delhi get their rightful share of water.”
Atishi said that she has written several letters to the Haryana government to resolve this issue.
