He advised the security forces to work together and root out terrorism. On the 9th, terrorists targeted pilgrims travelling by bus to Shivgori temple in Reasi district of Kashmir.
In this attack, the bus went out of control and overturned in the valley. 10 people died in this. 40 people were seriously injured. On the 11th, two terrorists entered Hiranagar in Kathua area of Kashmir and suddenly attacked. One terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces. Another terrorist was killed the next day. On the same day, terrorists attacked a security forces post in Doda area of Kashmir.
Six people, including a police officer, were injured. On the 12th, security forces found terrorists hiding in the Kanto jungle area of Toda region of Kashmir. A policeman was injured in the firing. After the continuous terrorist attacks in Kashmir, a high level consultation meeting was held on the 13th under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Officials including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval participated in it.
After this, a high-level meeting was held yesterday in Delhi under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the Kashmir attacks. It was attended by Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Army Chief Manoj Pandey, Upendra Dwivedi, who was sworn in as the new Army Chief, senior officials of the Home Department, officials of the Kashmir Police Department and officials of the Intelligence Department.
In this meeting, Amit Shah said, “The government led by Prime Minister Modi has controlled terrorism in Kashmir. Terrorist attacks have reduced significantly, especially in the Kashmir Valley and Jammu region. An indirect war has been waged on India through terrorism. We will completely defeat this war.” Central security forces will have to work together to root out terrorism in Kashmir.
Lok Sabha elections were successfully conducted in Kashmir. The voting percentage has also increased significantly. Thanks to the security forces who took steps to conduct peaceful elections. Amit Shah said this. Since Prime Minister Modi is visiting Kashmir on Yoga Day and Amarnath Yatra is about to start, Amit Shah has directed the officials to strengthen the security arrangements in Kashmir. Defense sources said.
Border patrolling will be increased to prevent infiltration of terrorists from border areas of Pakistan. PM Modi will visit Srinagar on the 20th. The next day on the 21st, on World Yoga Day, a grand yoga program will be organized in the Nagar Tal Lake area under the leadership of the Prime Minister. More than 6,000 people participate in it. In this regard, Minister Amit Shah has directed the state police officials to make additional security arrangements in Kashmir. Accordingly, maximum security arrangements will be made at the Yoga Day venue. The entire city has now been taken under the surveillance of security forces.
The Amarnath Yatra in Kashmir will begin from the 29th. Last year, 4.28 lakh devotees had worshipped the Amarnath Banilingam. This year, more than 5 lakh people are expected to come on the pilgrimage. Therefore, the minister has ordered the mobilization of additional forces to ensure the safety of the pilgrims. According to this, CRPF, CISF, ITPP, BSF personnel will be deployed for security on the Yatra routes.
A special smart card will be issued to the pilgrims. This way you can know their exact location. In case of an accident, security forces can reach the spot immediately. 500 companies of soldiers will be engaged in security from the base camp to Banilinga cave. Defense sources gave this information.
