The central government has taken a big decision regarding the board examinations of 10th and 12th, according to which, from next year i.e. 2025, the examinations of 10th and 12th will be conducted twice a year. The Ministry of Education has approved the conduct of board examinations of 10th and 12th twice a year from the next academic session 2025-26.
According to this new decision, now the first exam will be held in the month of April and the second exam in the month of February. Giving this information, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that there has been a consensus on conducting board exams twice a year i.e. on the lines of JEE. He said that the government wants this rule to be implemented in a better way, so the government is talking to CBSE and other boards about this.
Conducting 10th and 12th board exams twice a year will provide great relief to the children. The stress they have about the exam will go away. This will also prevent their year from getting wasted. Actually, once the exam goes wrong, the child’s year is wasted. In such a situation, he has to study in the same class again. But with this new decision of the government, now students will have the option of giving the exam twice a year. According to which, if a child fails in the exam in April, then he will not have to wait for a year for the exam again. They will have the option of giving the exam in February.
Under the new education policy, the central government had announced several changes in the education system last year. Along with books, it also includes a new curriculum work framework for the 2024 academic session. The new curriculum also includes conducting board examinations twice a year. Under this, the child will be able to study further on the basis of getting good marks in the examination. Actually, behind the decision to conduct examinations twice a year, the government’s effort is to reduce the stress on children at an early age as well as make the education system easier.
