Due to non-payment of salaries, hundreds of teachers are facing livelihood crisis

The teachers of the Basic Education Department have not received their salary for 3 months even after several months, which has created a big challenge for their livelihood, due to which the teachers appointed in primary and upper primary schools are facing a lot of problems. The teachers have complained about the matter to the higher officials several times, but every time the problem has not been resolved except giving assurances.

The teachers from whom the government takes work day and night as per its will in public interest, whether it is elections or some other work, the teachers of the state work very hard to implement the orders of the government, but even after several months have passed, the salary of those teachers has not been released. The teachers whom the government considers its eyes and ears and gives the responsibility of even the voter list, today a big crisis has arisen for those very teachers to maintain their family.

According to the aggrieved teachers, about 300 teachers working in the primary and upper primary schools of the district have not received their salary from July to September 2023, due to which a big crisis has started looming over their livelihood.

Forced to borrow money at high interest rate
Not only this, due to non-payment of salary for three months, it is becoming difficult for the teachers to pay the tuition fee and room rent of their children who are preparing for competitions in the cities. To ensure that the education of the children of the teachers is not interrupted, the teachers are trying to continue the education of their children by taking money from money lenders on high interest.
