Nitish wants three ministerial posts in Modi 3.0 government, know who is ahead in the race
Patna: Modi 3.0 government can be sworn in on June 8. Before this, NDA meeting was held on Wednesday in which Narendra Modi was unanimously elected as the leader. Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu have a big role in this government. Both are joining the Modi government. JDU meeting will be held in Delhi on Friday in which the final decision will be taken regarding ministerial posts and joining the government. JDU is with Modi's decision regarding one country one election but Nitish Kumar does not agree with Agniveer and UCC, he will advise the NDA government to reconsider it.
Narendra Modi was elected leader in the NDA meeting, allies submitted letters of support
Nitish Kumar wants three ministerial posts in this government. Nitish Kumar had the same demand during the tenure of Modi 2.0, but the then JDU president RCP Singh left everyone behind and joined the Modi cabinet. RCP had to bear the brunt of this, first the post of party president was taken away and later after the Rajya Sabha term ended, he was not sent to the Rajya Sabha again. In his place, JDU sent Khiru Mahto from Jharkhand to the Rajya Sabha. Angry RCP left JDU and joined BJP.
The wheel of time has turned, now JDU is the third largest party in NDA and it is believed that Nitish has one key to the government, on whom the opposition is constantly wooing. This time Nitish wants three ministerial posts, two cabinet and one minister of state. Earlier there was talk that he also wants the post of Lok Sabha Speaker, but now he has no objection to the Lok Sabha Speaker being from BJP because the post of Deputy Chairman in Rajya Sabha is currently with JDU. JDU's Harivansh is currently the Deputy Chairman in Rajya Sabha. There are many contenders for the ministerial post from JDU, but Nitish wants a ministerial post at the Center by keeping the caste equation in mind. Lallan Singh and Sanjay Jha, who are close to Nitish, are strong contenders to join the cabinet. Dileshwar Kamat and Ramnath Thakur are also being considered big contenders for the ministerial post. Nitish wants to make only his closest people ministers at the Center so that maximum funds from the Center can come to Bihar. It is believed that both Lallan Singh and Sanjay Jha can become ministers in the cabinet and Rajya Sabha MP and Karpoori Thakur's son Ramnath Thakur or Supaul MP Dileshwar Kamat can become a minister of state. Lallan Singh also wanted to become a minister in the previous Modi government but he had to face defeat in front of RCP Singh's move.
