How much gold and silver does Ambaji temple have? The real figure has come out

 

A gold monetization scheme was launched to provide interest on the gold received by the central government to utilize the gold lying with the public and large institutions. Ambaji Mandir Devasthan Trust has also benefited from this scheme. Ambaji temple has collected gold ornaments donated by various devotees since 1960. A total of 167 kg of gold was kept in the bank under the gold monetization scheme. After that, recently 3 kg of gold has been kept again. The amount of interest earned from gold is used by the temple trust for the welfare of the people who visit Mataji.

A gold monetisation scheme was launched by the central government to use the gold lying with the public and big institutions to earn interest on gold. And the Ambaji Mandir Devasthan Trust has also benefited from this scheme. The Ambaji temple has collected gold jewellery donated by various devotees since 1960. It got in-principle approval from the state government to include it in the gold monetisation scheme. Their temple trust had converted the amount of gold collected in the form of various jewellery offered to Mataji at the temple into biscuits.

After getting in-principle approval from the state government to invest in this gold monetization scheme of all governments, Ambaji Temple Devasthan Trust has deposited 171 kg of gold in Bank of Baroda under the gold monetization scheme. At present, Ambaji Temple Devasthan Trust has deposited a total of 175 kg of gold worth Rs 122 crore according to today’s price in this scheme.

However, the Ambaji Mandir Devasthan Trust melts the various ornaments offered to Mataji in the form of biscuits and deposits them in the bank. The interest amount of the gold deposited in this gold monetization scheme is used by the temple trust for the welfare of the devotees coming for Ambaji Darshan and the gold also remains intact.

While devotees also offer silver ornaments in various forms to Mataji, which so far range from 5500 to 6 thousand kg. According to the current prices, silver worth more than 50 crores has been collected. It is not yet included in this monetization scheme. But next time all this silver will be evaluated and further action will be taken. Additional Collector and Ambaji Temple Administrator Kaushik Modi said that about 15 will be completed in a day.
