Punjab Weather Update: Amid the growing election atmosphere in the country, the temperature in Punjab is continuously falling. In Punjab, the mercury has fallen by 1.2 degrees during the last 24 hours, giving people some relief from the heat. Due to western disturbance, there is a possibility of rain and strong winds in Punjab for the next two days.
According to the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued in 18 districts of Punjab. According to this alert, winds will blow at a speed of 40 km in Punjab and it will also rain. This will affect Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Moga, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Malerkotla and Barnala, while a yellow alert has been issued in the remaining five districts Fazilka, Muktsar, Faridkot, Bathinda and Mansa.

The effect of Nautapa has reduced in Punjab since June 2. Apart from this, Western Disturbance is also active in Punjab for the last few days, due to which the temperature is falling due to the winds. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert, but there is also news of light rain in some areas.
Talking about Tuesday evening, the average temperature of Punjab has dropped by 1.2 degrees. While the maximum temperature in Faridkot fell below 46 degrees to 45.8 degrees.
