Sunil Dutt narrating an anecdote said, 'My father passed away when I was only five years old. We stayed in this village without any problem. There were more Muslims than Hindus here. During partition my entire family was saved by a Muslim man. His name was Yakub. He was a friend of my father, who lived one and a half miles from our village. He helped us escape to the main town of Jhelum. I left Pakistan after matriculation. I never got a chance to go to Lahore. I went to Karachi when I was invited to attend Benazir Bhutto's wedding. I really wanted my wife Nargis, who died in May 1981, to see my village, my school.'
