He did his primary education in a village school. After this he passed his intermediate examination in Arts stream from DGSS Inter College. Sita Soran contested the assembly elections for the first time in 2009. Sita Soran started her social work during her secondary studies. After the demise of Durga Soren, Sita Soren contested the Jharkhand Assembly elections in 2009 for the first time. Jama won the assembly seat. He has become MLA three times from this constituency. His ideological differences with Hemant Soran became public several times. But, before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he stayed away from the JMM. Sita Soran, who left the JMM and joined the BJP ahead of the 2024 general elections, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after not getting much attention from the party her husband had worked hard to establish. The BJP gave him a seat from Dumka, the traditional parliamentary seat of the Soran family. After receiving the ticket, Sita Soren did not give any statement against her father-in-law Shibu Soren. On the other hand, he openly attacked his brother-in-law Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren. In 2012, Sita Soren, who was the national general secretary of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, was accused of taking money for votes. However, he later got bail in this case. Sita Soran, who left JMM's bow and arrows and took lotus flower in hand, owns Rs 8 crore property. There are 4 cases against him. Shibu Soren won the Dumka Lok Sabha seat in 2014.
