'Development' has become the foundation of faith, people's faith in tested governments! Witness the Arunachal-Sikkim results
In the Arunachal and Sikkim assembly elections, voters have shown faith only in the old governments. In Arunachal Pradesh, people are satisfied with Chief Minister Bema Kandu's performance and the BJP won 46 seats in the 60-seat assembly. With this, the BJP government has achieved a hat-trick record there. In Sikkim, Sikkim Kranthikari Morcha (SKM) won 31 out of 32 seats. Here Prem Singh Tamang will be sworn in as Chief Minister for the second consecutive term. He had won 17 seats in the last assembly elections. BJP supported him. The success of previous governments in these two border states proves that voters in India are now eager to bring to power only those who get a majority in the assembly who can do any government work. Due to the small number of the team did not get stuck. This mindset of the voter can be called ultra-nationalist. Some call it conservatism. This is not only happening in India but this pattern is now global. Nationalism has become a strong issue everywhere. In the neighboring countries of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan, the same governments are recurring and are said to be conservatives. People perceive conservative governments as focusing on nationalism. That is why he gives great importance to development work. Going a little further, Vladimir Putin has won a fifth term in Russia as well. In China, Xi Jinping will be president for life as he has made this arrangement through the country's parliament. Democrat Joe Biden may be president of the United States, but his party only holds a one-seat majority in the Senate. The same is true of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Canada. Jagmeet Singh of the far-left New Democratic Party has a 24-seat government in Parliament. Nationalism is now so prominent in politics around the world that it is difficult to clarify the ideology of the Liberal and Conservative parties. Nationalism is prevalent in all countries of Europe. It could be the UK or the European Union (EU) member states. All have enacted strict laws regarding the granting of citizenship to refugees and outsiders. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is of Indian origin, but his party is conservative and US President Joe Biden is a Democrat. But both are very strict in granting visas to Indians to visit their respective countries. This is not only the condition of India but their attitude towards the inhabitants of all Asian countries. After all, the issue of development is that India cannot remain untouched by what is happening in the world. That is why voters here too are leaning towards development oriented parties. When the electorate trusts the development-oriented parties in the Assemblies, the message gets across in the Lok Sabha elections as well. The June 1 polls cannot be completely dismissed. There may be some exaggeration, but when all the opinion polls show a huge lead for the BJP, there is no problem in believing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development slogan has worked. With the results coming tomorrow, every political party is in a frenzy, but it is strange that the voters of the country are not much interested in polls and opinion polls. The main reason for this was that he was very confident in his choice. Indian voters have seen the fate of minority governments. Those governments had to dance to the tune of each supporting party. Everyone would have seen that Prime Minister VP Singh's government was dwarfed in 1989 by pro-party parties. After this, Chandrasekhar's government was formed with the help of the Congress, but when the Congress tried to make him a puppet, he thought it better to resign. The government led by PV Narasimha Rao, who took over as Prime Minister in 1991, was far from a majority in Parliament, with only 232 seats. But then Lok Sabha elections were not held in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. In Uttar Pradesh too, the election was held after the Amethi constituency. Because he was assassinated in Sriperumbudur on May 21 in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections. Narasimha Rao ruled for five years on his own merits, despite being in a minority, with no help from anyone. Since 1996 Congress has broken the trust of Congress. In this election, BJP won 140 seats and 161 seats. The then President Shankar Dayal Sharma invited the largest party BJP to form the government and Atal Bihari Vajpayee was sworn in as the Prime Minister. But after 13 days, Atal Bihari Vajpayee resigned as the BJP failed to secure a majority. With the help of the Congress, a United Front government was formed on 1 June 1996 and HD Deve Gowda became the Prime Minister. But Congress President Sitaram Kesari withdrew his support and failed to win the confidence vote in the Lok Sabha. Hence, he had to resign on 21 April 1997. On the same day, Inder Kumar Gujral of the United Front became the new Prime Minister with the help of the Congress. But on March 14, 1998, there was a change in leadership within the Congress. On 14 March 1998, Sonia Gandhi succeeded Sitaram Kesari as the party president. Swadeshi vs Foreigner Sonia Gandhi, once she became President, demanded the removal of some DMK Union Ministers from the United Front government. The reason is because the DMK's relations with the LTTE, the killers of Rajiv Gandhi, were leaked. When this did not happen, he withdrew support from the United Front government, and only 11 months into office, on 19 March 1998, Inder Kumar Gujral had to step down. In the 1998 mid-term elections, while the BJP won 182 seats, the Congress had to be content with 141 seats. BJP formed the government with the support of Shiv Sena, Akali Dal, Samata Dal, AIADMK and Biju Janata Dal. Once again Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the prime minister but the government was overthrown within 13 months due to the non-cooperation of the AIADMK. In the no-confidence motion, the Vajpayee government became a minority by one vote. In 1999, the Lok Sabha elections were held again and this time the Congress won only 114 seats in the Lok Sabha. BJP won 182 seats. Atal Bihari Vajpayee became Prime Minister for the third time. In this election, the slogan 'Indigenous Vajpayee, foreign Sonia' was used a lot. Manmohan's feat: This BJP government lasted for five years. In 2004 Lok Sabha elections were held again and this time BJP trailed Congress by only 7 seats. The United Progressive Alliance was formed on the initiative of Sonia Gandhi. The Left parties and the coalition formed the government together. Manmohan Singh became Prime Minister. This government lasted for five years, and in 2008 the Left parties broke the alliance after the prime minister signed a nuclear deal with the US. The Prime Minister got a majority in this plan of the Left parties in the Parliament. For the first time, Manmohan Singh displayed his political skills which he learned from his mentor Narasimha Rao. The BJP was also in favor of the deal. When the general elections came five years later, Manmohan Singh was the face of the coalition. This time the Congress won 206 seats and formed the government again. The government was surrounded by allegations of corruption but Dr. Manmohan Singh could not take any action against his corrupt ministers. He kept silent even though he was constantly attacked in this regard. Fed up with corruption, people protested. Maharashtrian Gandhi leader Anna Hazare protested at Jandar Mantar. On the other hand, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has become the BJP's poster boy. His Gujarati model was praised across the country. Result: For the first time in 2014, BJP won absolute majority and won 282 seats. If its alliance partners (NDA) are included, the number will reach 336. Narendra Modi became Prime Minister from BJP. Congress reduced to 44. In 2019, BJP won 303 seats and NDA won 353 seats. This time too the performance of Congress was very poor. He has to be satisfied with 52 seats. Indian voters never like weak governments and helplessness at the head of the government. Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim assembly elections are examples of this. Voters dislike even coalition governments. He thinks that a party should be given a majority so that the head of the government never looks helpless. Whatever decision he takes he must stick to it and his cabinet must be spotless. The mind of the electorate of the country can be read through the electorate of this northeastern state.
