High school teacher stabbed to death, purse and mobile stolen in Muzaffarpur
BIHAR CRIME: Teacher Gopal Kunwar (54) was stabbed to death by criminals during a robbery near Ahiyapur Junction in Muzaffarpur early on Monday. The crime was committed by three criminals on a high-speed bike. On the day of the incident, he was walking towards Zeromile Chowk to catch an auto from his house in Salempur, Sahabajpur. They had taken a bus from Bairia and were heading towards Sangrampur in East Champaran district. Thamdi took over as Principal of Asrabi High School. After stabbing the teacher and robbing him of money, cell phone and purse, the criminals fled. Deep stab wounds were found at three places on the abdomen and chest of the deceased. He died on the spot due to profuse bleeding. The vegetable vendors informed the Ahiyapur police about the dead body lying on the roadside. Hundreds of people gathered at the place. Police recovered the body and sent it to SKMCH for post-mortem. The deceased was identified after his photo went viral on social media. Gopal Kunwar, a resident of Ahiyapur Sahabajpur Salempur, took charge as the Headmaster for four days. He was originally a resident of Atapur Naguni village of Hasanpur police station of Samastipur district. Presently he was a Science Teacher in Plus Two School at Sangrampur in East Sambaran District. He took charge for the last four days as the principal was on vacation. Last Saturday night, after school, Sahabajpur came to his home in Ahiyapur, Salempur. As the principal is in charge, he left home at 4 am on Monday for work. The FSL team collected evidence from the scene of the murder and cordoned off the crime scene. City SP Awadesh Saroj Dixit, ASP Town Banu Pratap Singh and police from Ahiyapur police station reached the spot. An FSL team was called to the spot to collect evidence from the spot. FSL seized blood samples and soil samples that fell on the ground at the scene. To find clues about the three bike-riding criminals seen in the CCTV footage, the police are examining the CCTV footage from Bakri Chowk to the scene of the incident. In this, at 4.15 minutes, three criminals on a high-speed bike were seen coming behind the teacher. All three stopped at Ahiyapur junction. As soon as the teacher came near, two criminals got down from the bike and started robbing the teacher. When he protested, he was stabbed at around 4.17 pm. Later, they folded the bike and fled from there. The CCTV footage of the stabbing death of a government teacher at Ahiyapur Chowk is being analysed. The police are investigating both robbery and premeditated murder. FSL team is invited. They are examining the CCTV footage. The whole thing will be revealed soon.
