The newly arrived Divisional Commissioner reached the Mandi Sthal and took stock of the vote counting preparations
Balrampur After taking charge, the newly appointed Commissioner of Devipatan Mandal, Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil, took stock of the preparations for the counting of votes to be held in the Mandi Committee on June 04 for conducting the strong room built in the Mandi premises and the Lok Sabha General Election 2024 in a fair, independent and transparent manner and praised the arrangements made for the counting of votes in the Mandi.
During the inspection, the commissioner sought information from district election officer Arvind Singh about assembly-wise counting tables, internet connection, drinking water system, uninterrupted power supply, arrangement of chairs for counting agents, barricading system, entry and exit gates etc.
District Election Officer Arvind Singh said that along with ensuring adequate arrangements of cold drinking water and coolers for the counting personnel and counting agents, adequate arrangements have been made to protect from the scorching heat and a medical team has also been deployed to deal with emergency situations. Arrangements for additional transfer have also been made for uninterrupted power supply during counting.
The District Election Officer informed the Divisional Commissioner that all preparations have been completed on a war footing to ensure that the counting of votes is conducted in a fair, independent and transparent manner. For security reasons, security and police will be deployed at every corner of the counting venue including the entrance gate.
During this, Superintendent of Police Keshav Kumar, ADM Finance and Revenue Pradeep Kumar, ADM Judicial Pramod Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police, Executive Engineer PWD and other related officers and employees were present.
