Hero Motocorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer today launched their new motorcycle Super Splendor Extec in the domestic market. Equipped with attractive looks and powerful engine power, this commuter bike is priced at Rs 83,368 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Innovation and Design
The company has introduced some new changes in this bike which make it much better than the previous model. Talking about the look and design of the Super Splendor Xtec, the company has included LED headlights and LED daytime running lights (DRL). Which comes with features like high and low beam. Also, there are no changes to the single seat, grab rail, halogen turn indicators and overall slimmer build.
New paint and engine
The Super Splendor XTech now comes in two new Candy Blazing Red and Matte Axis Gray paint schemes. Hero MotoCorp has given the new Super Splendor a new 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine according to an updated OBD2 that produces 10.7 bhp of power and 10.6 Nm of torque.
Gearbox and mileage
This bike has five speed gearbox. However, according to the information shared by the company, this bike will give a mileage of up to 68 km per liter. Also the I3S technology provided in the bike helps in improving the mileage of the bike. But the biggest updates are Bluetooth connectivity and a fully digital instrument console. The Super Splendor XTEC comes with a new LCD that can be paired with your smartphone and provides missed call/SMS alerts as well as various readouts.
Technology and facilities
This instrument console has speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level readout and mileage etc. in addition to USB charging port. There is Super Splendor Extech telescopic fork suspension at the front and dual spring suspension at the rear. It has a braking system (CBS) with disc brakes at the front and a drum unit at the rear. This bike with 18 inch alloy wheels comes in two variants. Its drum variant is priced at Rs 83,368 and the disc brake variant is priced at Rs 87,268.
