Voters queue at booths during the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections

Khajni Gorakhpur. In the last seventh phase of voting for Gorakhpur Sadar parliamentary seat in the region, 33 percent voting was reported till 1 pm at 94 booths of 62 polling centers. Earlier, 26 percent voting was done till 11 am. Long queues of voters were seen outside the booths to exercise their franchise. 52.53 percent voting was reported till 5 pm.

It was reported that peaceful voting took place at all the booths of the polling centers in the villages of Unwal Nagar Panchayat, Kunda Bharth, Lamtin, Vishwanathpur, Bharwalian, Rampur Malouli, Rekshanara, Chhatain, Satuabhar, Basiyakhor, Rawatdandi, Dondon, Khutbhar, Manjhariyan, Dedartula, Palhipar Babu etc.

At 1 pm, on receiving false information from the police control room about influencing voters at the booth set up at the school in Palhipar Babu village, SHO Khajni Gaurav R Kannaujiya reached the polling station with a team and removed the unnecessary crowd. In the morning, voting could not take place for some time in Rekshanaara and Tekwar as the EVM machine did not work, although the voters standing in the queue waited for their turn till the EVM was fixed.

Similarly, 101-year-old Bageshwari Pandey cast her vote at booth number 952 in Basiyakhor, Bidhan Sibah Sahajanwa, Khajni tehsil area.
